Approx 50×168×39 mm. The tin is made of aluminum. The ration in the picture above was packaged 1 Mars 1951. The tin is almost empty, only the contens list is still there. 

Content:

Rationbag (plastic bag)

Chocolate (2 bars + 1   50 gram bar. (the 50 gram bar was only in the "non smoker" version)

Toffe

Caramel

Gum 

Dextrose

Sugar cube

Coffe

Salt tablets

Cigarettes (only in the "smoker" version)

Matches

Skin ointment 

Painkiller pills (red packaging)

Stimulant pills (non color packaging)   (This was amphetamine)

Seasick tablets (yellow packaging)

Needle and thread 

Steel wire 


This ration is almost a mix of the British WW2 Emergency Flying Ratink Mk II and the American Parachute Emergency Ration.

Same type of emergency rations were found on the Swedish DC-3 which was shot down in 1952 by a Soviet MiG-15. The DC-3 was found in 2003 and salvaged in 2004. 

This is probably the chocolate that was included in the emergency flying ration 1951 (My collection)
